A passer of the future in Maye, and a C, for the Bears. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a C and check back in two years.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Smith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman and linebacker went begging.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Smith steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
If Drake Maye and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
