After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The cost of the Jones reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
