The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Luke McCaffrey fell into the Round 6 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

Raym has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
