Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans cashed the board's mistake on Mahogany: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Christian Mahogany at the 106th pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. Reaching for Suamataia left real value on the table behind him. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In pick No. 7 they get a No. 1 receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick38 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
They paid a round early for Kingsley Suamataia in the 38th overall pick, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick106 Rnd4 Christian Mahogany
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Christian Mahogany in No. 106, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick144 Rnd5 Austin Booker
They jumped the gun on Austin Booker, taking him earlier than his grade liked. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick184 Rnd6 Chau Smith-Wade
Chau Smith-Wade at the 184th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick228 Rnd7 Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson at Round 7, Pick 8 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
