The steal of the weekend belongs to the Saints and Mayes: B-.

Somebody in pick No. 191 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Saints sat still while BJ Mayes, the No. 153 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Barton left real value on the table behind him. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
