The phones sank the Chiefs this weekend: D. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent pick No. 209 on Joshua Cephus, a name most had 54 spots down the list.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Nourzad.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
