You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cowboys took Chip Trayanum at Round 6, Pick 26, roughly 92 spots before his name belonged. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
