JSB1976 DRAFTING FOR THEFalcons
Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
Stackhouse should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a B-. Somebody in the 244th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Falcons sat still while Nazir Stackhouse, the No. 194 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Mykel Williams
In pick 15 they get a disruptor off the edge. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
Malaki Starks
Somehow Malaki Starks was still sitting there in pick No. 46, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick117
Rnd4
Jermari Harris
They read the board right and Jermari Harris was the payoff at No. 117. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick244
Rnd7
Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse in the 244th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
