A sensible, unshowy class lands the Patriots a B+. The rest of the league had time to spare on Nick Gargiulo; the Patriots did not wait, grabbing him 25 spots ahead at the 177th pick. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Rice at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Jake Haener deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
