More right than wrong for the Cardinals, and a B- to prove it.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Cardinals walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick17 Rnd1 Deontae Lawson
In the Round 1 slot they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. A real need, handled.
Pick49 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
Caleb Banks at No. 49 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick81 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan at the 81st overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick117 Rnd4 Rod Moore
They paid sticker price for Rod Moore in pick 117, and that is fine. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.

A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Xavier Nwankpa. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
