After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Every board in the league had Rice lower, and that gap is the story. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Getting McMillan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
