The Bears drew a line under the quarterback search with Maye: D. The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
Drake Maye gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Sinnott left real value on the table behind him.
The Elliss value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
