Johnson should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tez Johnson got past him. The Bills do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 129. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball. The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
