Draft Grade — Titans
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
The Titans fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-.

The tape said wait; the Titans did not. Sai'vion Jones went at the 103rd pick, a good 43 picks before the board was ready.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

In the end it comes back to Will Johnson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Will Johnson
A reasonable price with a little left over, Will Johnson in the 20th pick. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick44 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
They paid sticker price for Marcus Mbow in Round 2, Pick 12, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick76 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at No. 76 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick103 Rnd4 Sai'vion Jones
A big swing on Sai'vion Jones at the 103rd overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jacob Parrish
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Jacob Parrish adds a cornerback and leaves running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots untouched.
