Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB FutureB
Reiman should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B.

Somebody in the 255th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Tip Reiman, the No. 225 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Packers indulged a want in Bishop while a need in quarterback and wide receiver stayed open.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In pick No. 25 they get a disruptor off the edge, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick55 Rnd2 Jonathon Brooks
A slide stopped in the 55th pick, with Jonathon Brooks worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick58 Rnd2 Max Melton
They took Max Melton at par in pick 58, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick88 Rnd3 Calen Bullock
They read the board right and Calen Bullock was the payoff at No. 88. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright at slot 91 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick97 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
A straight-up fair deal on Zak Zinter at the 97th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick125 Rnd4 Cole Bishop
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Cole Bishop adds a safety and leaves quarterback and wide receiver untouched.
Pick160 Rnd5 Roger Rosengarten
Value with a capital V on Roger Rosengarten in the Round 5 slot, a genuine coup. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick168 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Mason McCormick at the 168th pick is the proof. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick171 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
You do not let a safety like Tykee Smith reach No. 171 and blink. They did not. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick201 Rnd6 Elijah Jones
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Elijah Jones in pick No. 201. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall at slot 219 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick245 Rnd7 Garret Greenfield
Steal is underselling it; Garret Greenfield at Round 7, Pick 25 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick255 Rnd7 Tip Reiman
Taking Tip Reiman in the 255th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
