A franchise passer in Sanders headlines a D weekend for the Cowboys.

Nobody else had Chip Trayanum anywhere near Round 6, Pick 26. The Cowboys did, by 69 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Shedeur Sanders gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.

It is not that Barron is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. Sawyer falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.
