Nussmeier should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a B.

The board owed the Falcons one, and it paid up: Garrett Nussmeier, the No. 81 name on the board, sitting there at the 215th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
