Quarterback settled, Moore in the fold, and a B for the Cardinals. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Dante Moore is the Cardinals' quarterback, full stop. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Stewart falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Ioane has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In pick No. 9 they get their quarterback of the future. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick40
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane at pick 40 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick71
Rnd3
Kamari Ramsey
They read the board right and Kamari Ramsey was the payoff at the 71st pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick109
Rnd4
Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. at the Round 4 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick148
Rnd5
Jude Bowry
Jude Bowry at the 148th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick188
Rnd6
Le'Veon Moss
No drama and no debate, Le'Veon Moss went about where he belonged in No. 188. The roster fit checks out.
Pick224
Rnd7
Evan Stewart
Somehow Evan Stewart was still sitting there in slot 224, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
