The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: Tahj Brooks, the No. 112 name on the board, sitting there at No. 205 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with tight end chief among the fixes. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
