The Raiders worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Raiders came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Raiders paired the rookies with proven help, Creed Humphrey leading the way. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick52
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
A reasonable price with a little left over, Emmanuel Pregnon in the Round 2 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick67
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
A straight-up fair deal on Lee Hunter at pick 67, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick102
Rnd4
Jack Endries
Jack Endries in the 102nd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
