The Browns did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Mike Washington Jr. in Round 2, Pick 7, a good 71 spots before the room expected him. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Reed-Adams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
