Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Packers reached some 74 spots for Jawhar Jordan, and value like that does not grow back. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Clark at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
They paid sticker price for Kris Jenkins in Round 2, Pick 9, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick57 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in the 57th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick88 Rnd3 Roman Wilson
They did well to land Roman Wilson in pick 88, just ahead of his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick91 Rnd3 Max Melton
A big swing on Max Melton at slot 91, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick125 Rnd4 Cole Bishop
No drama and no debate, Cole Bishop went about where he belonged in the 125th pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick135 Rnd4 Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan at the 135th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick203 Rnd6 Christian Jones
Christian Jones at the 203rd overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick217 Rnd6 Brevyn Spann-Ford
No edge and no loss on Brevyn Spann-Ford in pick 217; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick219 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
Steal is underselling it; De'Corian Clark at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick246 Rnd7 Aaron Frost
They took Aaron Frost at par in slot 246, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
