Everything else got attention, and safety got none. That is a strange way for the Lions to leave a draft. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Landing McGregor that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Jefferson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
