The phones were a trap the Patriots kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Williams pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
