The Barrett reach set a tone the Seahawks could not shake: F.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Seahawks shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Barrett reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots still on the board.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left wide receiver open, and the grade is the bill.
