The Commanders drew a line under the quarterback search with McCarthy: B+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
