Hood should have been long gone. The Cowboys pounced, and earned a A-.

Somebody in the 221st overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Colton Hood, the No. 29 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Adding Jalen Nailor by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
