A costly weekend of dealing drags the Dolphins to a D-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Dolphins did exactly that with Riley Nowakowski in the Round 7 slot.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They banked enough surplus on Ponds to cover a lot of smaller sins.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
