The 49ers did not so much draft Joshua Cephus as overpay for him, 32 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Turner pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
