Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in pick No. 127 lands the 49ers a B, Hurst and all.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The 49ers watched Ted Hurst slide 38 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The cost of the Tucker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In slot 27 they get a red-zone target to build around, outstanding value to boot.
Pick59 Rnd2 A.J. Haulcy
A tidy bit of business in No. 59, where A.J. Haulcy graded well above the range. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick127 Rnd4 Ted Hurst
Circle this one: Ted Hurst at Round 4, Pick 27 is a fall that decides a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick133 Rnd4 Kaleb Proctor
Kaleb Proctor at the 133rd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick138 Rnd4 J.C. Davis
No edge and no loss on J.C. Davis in pick No. 138; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick139 Rnd4 Nadame Tucker
A big swing on Nadame Tucker at the Round 4 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick167 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
Good price on Beau Stephens in the 167th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
