The Nathan Pickering selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 159 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Hunt pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, tight end and other spots still on the board.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

So much rides on Ruke Orhorhoro that the real verdict is a season or two away.
