No fireworks, just a tidy B for the 49ers.

The Oluwafemi Oladejo selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 41 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. White III at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
