The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jake Golday, the No. 61 name on the board, in No. 92. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
