The 49ers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The 49ers fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Harmon value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

They are betting Arroyo proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In pick No. 13 they get protection for the quarterback, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Booker at the 39th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick40 Rnd2 Derrick Harmon
The board had Derrick Harmon higher than Round 2, Pick 8, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick44 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
They did well to land Jihaad Campbell in pick 44, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick48 Rnd2 Josaiah Stewart
Josaiah Stewart at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick63 Rnd2 Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo in the 63rd pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick66 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins slid further than he should have, and slot 66 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick75 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond in No. 75 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick99 Rnd3 Jake Majors
Jake Majors at the 99th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
