You build a draft on nights like this. Jake Slaughter had no business being available in the 92nd overall pick, and the 49ers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
