The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in Pat Coogan, taking him 86 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Trigg pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
