A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The 49ers get a C+.

When the story of this class is written, it opens with DJ Campbell at pick 138, a reach of 48 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.

A straight-up fair deal on Austin Siereveld at slot 87, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

Logan Jones at the 122nd overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They talked themselves into DJ Campbell at the 138th pick, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

They reached a country mile for Isaac Smith at No. 139, and the board is aghast. It adds depth where they could use a little.

The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Davison Igbinosun. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
