Berger should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B-.

The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Jalen Berger, the No. 217 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 7 slot like a gift left on the doorstep.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Reaching for Guyton left real value on the table behind him.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
