The 49ers bet big and early on R.J. Oben, 133 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Ferguson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
