You can hear the double-takes from here. The 49ers took Luke Lachey at the 160th overall pick, roughly 43 spots before his name belonged.

They banked enough surplus on Parrish to cover a lot of smaller sins. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
