The 49ers won the night they stopped Jones from sliding. Grade: D+.

The phones were a trap the 49ers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.

They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will answer for taking cornerback early while quarterback, tight end and other spots went begging. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Every board in the league had Gore Jr. lower, and that gap is the story.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
