The 49ers won the night they stopped Lawson from sliding. Grade: B.

Call it larceny. Deontae Lawson sat on the board until No. 60, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They are betting Mesidor proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. The veteran additions, Andrew Thomas chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
