A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D.

The 49ers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
