The Foster pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Javon Foster at pick No. 59. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

Brenden Rice at the 90th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They took Danny Stutsman at par in Round 3, Pick 35, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
