The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Billy Bowman Jr. fell into the 147th overall pick.

They will need Powell-Ryland to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Adding Terence Steele by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
