The 49ers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

The Khyree Jackson pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 26 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Gentry falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
