Best value of the weekend goes to the 49ers for Bailey: B+. When a board-topper like David Bailey slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick38
Rnd2
Carnell Tate
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 38th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick58
Rnd2
Spencer Fano
Spencer Fano in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick63
Rnd2
David Bailey
A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, David Bailey in slot 63, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick72
Rnd3
Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq at pick No. 72 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
