The 49ers land in the muddy middle: C+.

The 49ers torched the value chart for Jordan Travis, taking him 40 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Brownlee Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
