The 49ers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Thor Griffith at the 252nd overall pick. The 49ers jumped the board by 66 and dared it to prove them wrong.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. However the rest shakes out, Walker at that price is a win they earned.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
