Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Luke Lachey at pick No. 138 is 74 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

Getting Ayomanor where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
